WHY US?
At-Home Candida Test
The yeast Candida can cause infection when it grows out of control. Using a few drops of blood with a simple finger prick, the at-home candidiasis blood test checks for infection in blood stream that can have serious health impact.
Mouth and throat infections (called "thrush") are common but the more invasive Candidiasis is highly persistent infection. If your at-home candida test detects the presence of antibodies, this suggests past or ongoing infections, while presence of the Candida antigen may suggest an infection in the blood stream.
By using RxHomeTest’s at-home candida test, you can check for a candida infection from home. Just order your at-home candida test kit, collect your finger prick samples, and ship the kit to our labs for free for review by our world-class physicians. What is a Candida?
Candida is a type of yeast that lives in our body in the gut, mouth, throat, vagina, toes, and esophagus. Low levels are almost always present and do not cause any problems. However, when Candida enters the bloodstream, it can have serious impact on liver, kidneys, and heart.
What is Candidiasis?
Candidiasis is a fungal infection from the Candida yeast. Infection in mouth is called thrush, resulting in white marks and a foul taste. It can affect other parts of the body, including throat, esophagus, vagina, and toes; however in rare cases it can cause serious infections and enter the bloodstream.
Why test for Candida yeast infection?
Infection by one form, called Candida auris is a serious global health concern. Although extremely rare, the CDC proactively monitors the infections due to C. auris.
What the symptoms of Candida infection?
Infection in the mouth, throat, and esophagus can result in:
Visible white patches inside mouth, on tongue, cheeks, palate, and throat.
Pain during eating and swallowing.
A cotton like feeling in mouth.
Redness and soreness.
Loss of taste.
Cracks, redness, and pain around corners of mouth.
Those with weaker immune systems are at higher risk as the body can no longer fight the yeast growth.
What is tested with the Candida Infection Test?
The test will measure for the following:
IgA antibodies: an indication of overgrowth in the mucous, urinary tract, and around throat.
IgG antibodies: an indication of chronic overgrowth and suggest past history even if the infection has completely disappeared.
IgM antibodies: an indication of recent growth, and remain low if the growth is recent.
Candida antigen: Presence of candida antigen suggests serious infection and the infection has likely entered the bloodstream. Often clear health systems are visibly by this time, however, this is extremely rare.

The directions are straight forward and easy to follow.
Q: How long does it take to receive the results?
A: You will receive the kit within 3-5 business days with a prepaid return envelope. After you ship the sample and it is received by our lab, you get the results within 5-7 business days.
Q: What do I expect from the report?

Q: Can I use my insurance to pay for the test?
A: You can use HSA (or FSA/MSA/HRA) accounts to pay for the tests since these are prescription tests (for further confirmation, please check the IRS publication#969). However, please ensure you are not going outside your specified max and min deductible limits. We do not have the capability to process the insurance claim. Insurance plans vary by individuals, therefore we can not guarantee your HSA payment will always be processed by your plan. Please talk to your insurance provider if you have any further concerns.
Q: How reliable are my results?
A: For testing your samples, we have partnered with CLIA-certified labs that are used by physicians across the US. These labs are regulated by the states, as well as Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Majority of the tests from these labs are FDA approved to ensure they meet the proper regulatory requirements. Additionally, the College of American Pathologists (CAP) requires inter-laboratory tests to ensure the ranges established by each lab do not drift or are not out of acceptable ranges. This is done by regularly testing reference samples between different labs. Finally, the labs test thousands of sample for different age groups and health conditions, and have well established reference data to compare your results against this large pool.
Our at-home Candida test kit can help understand your body's level of infection.
The test can help you find the root cause of painful swallowing, redness in mouth, and other serious problems arising from Candida infection.
Even if you find you are not affected, it helps to get that part out of discussion in order to find the actual reason for the problem.
The at-home Candida test helps check for rare cases of infections by Candida auris, a global health problem.
